Who Says You Can’t Get Free Contacts by Mail?

These days, you really don’t see as many offers for free samples like you used to. Even at the grocery store, at least where I live, they used to have free samples all the time but now you only see it a few times a year. It’s too bad because those food companies need to learn the lesson that contact lenses companies have learned – you can get free samples of contact lenses and doing that gets you more customers.

To get free contacts by mail is a simple and straight forward process but you have to know what to do. You simply can’t just ask for them and they arrive. It would be nice if it were that easy but that’s just dreaming. Here is what you do:

  • First, find the offers for free contact lenses. They are on the websites of contact lens manufacturers.
  • Second, fill out the form. Give them your information so that they know where to send them.
  • Third, print out the form. Then go ahead and do this with several more brands so that you have a bunch of them.
  • Fourth, make an appointment with a local optometrist. You need your eyes checked and you need them fitted for your eyes. I like to go to department store optical departments because they do a fine job and don’t cost very much.
  • Fifth, at the end of your appointment, give them the offers that you’ve printed out. Soon enough, you will see them arrive in the mail. It takes about a week or so after the order is placed. Maybe 7-10 business days is about typical.

You will get them and be able to try each brand to see how they work out for you. One brand might work better than another. You will have to see. It works out differently for different people.

There are even ways to get free samples of colored contact lenses if that is what you are interested in. You need to know that even if you are just getting them for cosmetic purposes and with no vision correction, you will still need to go through all of the steps mentioned here. This includes seeing an optometrist to get a prescription. You will just get the kind that offer no vision correction – or maybe you will find out that you need a little vision correction, which is fine.
